Hello folks! I’m Ruth Fanshaw. Welcome to my writer podcast, This Now, in which I share pieces of my work that I hope will help you make the most of whatever season of life you’re in.
This time, I’ll be sharing the poem that this podcast is named after, which I hope expresses the focus I’d like it to have.

One of the ways we make the most of the seasons of our lives is by processing our pain, and I think that will always be an element of this in some way. I’d even go as far as to say that we can’t really make the most of our seasons unless we process our pain in a healthy way.
One of the things I’ve been processing lately is childlessness, and one of the poems I share here is a big part of that journey for me.

There’s also a good deal of lighter stuff, some Author News, and an excerpt from my forthcoming book: Finding Your Wings: A Christian Guide to Healing from Romantic Rejection & Heartbreak.
I feel that this episode has kind of a theme of questions and questioning – some of it serious, some of it lighthearted – but hopefully it can all play a part in helping us make the most of this season of our lives.
Welcome to episode 2!
(This episode was originally recorded as a live stream on Facebook and YouTube, which went out on the 6th of October 2021.)
